Mind Control

Inspired by: Mind Control, Oliana, Spain

What draws me to Mind Control is the elegance of its limestone. Long blue-grey tufas create an almost architectural rhythm, interrupted by warm bands of ochre that give the wall both depth and movement. The artwork translates that balance between repetition and variation into a restrained composition, where subtle shifts in colour and spacing echo the natural flow of the route.

Mind Control, first climbed by Chris Sharma in 2009, is one of Oliana's landmark routes. Originally graded 8c+, it is now considered a solid 8c and has been repeated by climbers including Adam Ondra, Daila Ojeda, and Sasha DiGiulian.
