Céüse

Inspired by: Céüse, Hautes-Alpes, France

What captivated me most about Céüse was the immense limestone wall and the soft blue-grey bands running across its surface. Interrupted by darker pockets, they create a quiet rhythm that makes the cliff feel both monumental and surprisingly delicate. That natural pattern is what I tried to capture with thread.

Céüse is considered one of the world's finest sport climbing crags. Its exceptional limestone and long technical routes have attracted generations of climbers, including Chris Sharma, Adam Ondra, Alex Megos, Jorge Díaz-Rullo, Sébastien Bouin and Janja Garnbret. The iconic routes Biographie and Bibliographie have become modern climbing landmarks.
