Action Directe

Action Directe is defined as much by its atmosphere as its difficulty. The deep limestone overhang, vivid green moss and constant humidity create a unique landscape where strength and nature exist in perfect balance. This artwork captures that quiet tension through restrained vertical rhythms and a single branch that echoes the route's defining movement.

First climbed by Wolfgang Güllich in 1991, Action Directe became the world's first 9a (5.14d), redefining sport climbing. It has since been repeated by climbers including Adam Ondra, Patxi Usobiaga, Alex Megos, Stefano Ghisolfi and Melissa Le Nevé, the first woman to complete the route.
